Activities enjoyed by Tourists in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park-Uganda Safari News



birdingThere is Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park which is a very attracting and appealing activity that has attracted many gorilla safaris in Uganda.  Tracking starts at 8:00am from Ntebeko gate. The guide together with the trackers lead the tourists through the forests so as to find the mountain gorillas and the tourists stay with the gorillas for the whole one hour. This experience is so amazing and it attracts more gorilla tracking safaris in Uganda.

There is birding in Mgahinga National park which is a very exciting activity and has as a result this increased the number of tourists coming for tours in Uganda. This takes place in the Bamboo forest in montane at the ravine of mountain Sabinyo and Gahinga. Here you will find and monitor the gorgeous and attractive Rwenzori Turaco hence attracting more Uganda safaris and hence promote the tourism sector.
 Another activity is Mountain hiking in Mgahinga. This needs a lot of energy since it is done by both hands and legs. A tourist can climb one volcano per day since the park has three volcanoes of which at their peak you can observe Rwanda, Uganda, DRC Virungas and Lake Edward. This is so interesting and it has attracted more safari visits in Uganda.

There are culture Encounters in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. These are performed by the Batwa people who were expelled from the forest after the establishment of the National Park. The Batwa people get a chance to explain how they live their lives, traditional dances, medicine, their gods and everything about them. This makes tourists get to study many things hence attracting them to come for more tour visits in Uganda.
