mweya safari lodgeMweya safari lodge is located in Queen Elizabeth national park; this lodge offers tourists a unique experience since it’s located on the peninsula in the heart of Queen Elizabeth national park, it’s surrounded by the Rwenzori Mountains which are commonly known as the mountains of the moon. This lodge is luxurious and it has attracted many tourists who come for safaris to Uganda.
The lodge has got many accommodation facilities and these include; 32 standard rooms, 12 deluxe rooms with air conditioning and 2 suites, the place has also got cottages which include; the prudential cottage, queen cottage, 2 family cottage, 2 luxury tents and 2 standard rooms, these rooms have provided good accommodation facilities to the tourists who come for safari visits to Uganda.
There are many wildlife species in Queen Elizabeth national park and these include; 95 types of mammals and many bird species, the Kazinga channel is also known for the highest concentration of hippos and good boat cruises. Other wildlife includes; lions, elephants, buffalos, rare aquatic sitatunga antelopes, giant forest hog, water bucks, kobs and the leopards, all these have attracted many tourists to come for safaris to Uganda.
The park has got many other lodges which have facilitated the tourists who come for safari tours, these include; Enganzi lodges, bush lodges, katara lodge, kingfisher lodge, and many more which are used by the tourists. The park has also got another tourist activity which is chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge in Maramagambo forest.

Mountain Gorilla Behavior,Diet,Threats and Predators
