hippoKazinga channel has greatly attracted many Uganda safaris due to its diverse wildlife. The Kazinga channel in Uganda is a wide long natural channel that links Lake Edward and Lake George, and a dominant feature of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The channel attracts a varied range of animals and birds, with one of the world’s largest concentrations of Hippos and numerous Nile crocodiles.
Tourists who come for tour visits to Uganda will be exposed to Kazinga channel which is one of the most interesting places to visit during any safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park. A relaxing cruise of a couple of hours, lets to see hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, elephants and other typical Ugandan wildlife, immersed into a spectacular landscape. Most animals come here from the surrounding savannah, to drink and to search for some fresh grass.
A Uganda safari to Kazinga channel comprises of sections such as the north kazinga in addition to the kasenyi plains. It’s recognized that the plains of this channel offers breath taking view points of spotting game. Here you will have a better way to see the diverse wildlife living in this area. The most convenient and favourable place to spot the lions is within the eastern section of Kasenyi plains as well as the Kasese road on which they prey on the large number of resident Uganda Kobs within that area. Queen Elizabeth National Park has also attracted many tour adventures due to its variety of wildlife like the climbing lions and the chimpanzees at Kyambura Gorge.
In addition to the Kazinga channel, Queen Elizabeth national Park has got many activities that are participated in by the tourists which include; chimpanzee trekking, game drives, watching climbing lions and many other activities.
