nile2Safaris to Uganda have greatly improved due to the presence of the source of the Nile which is located in Jinja. River Nile is the longest river in Africa and its water course is the longest in the world. River Nile has greatly been a tourist destination since it was identified as the source.
The Nile gets its name from the Greek word nelios, meaning river valley. The river Nile is the longest river in the world. The European explorers ventured into finding the source of the river Nile. It was found in 1862 by John Hannington Speke who succeed in discovering the source of the Nile in Uganda.
A safari to the source of Nile is an interesting experience that all tourists who have visited the source of the Nile can give witness to its wondrous beauty. From its source, the Nile flows Northwards of Lake Kyoga and onwards through Murchison Falls National Park and reaches at the point where the water forces itself through a six metre wide cleft which cascades 30 metres below, making it one of the spectacular sites. This River has greatly attracted many tourists who have come for safaris in Uganda.
A Uganda safari  can expose you to many activities that are carried out on the source of the Nile and these include; Gripping sites on the part of the River Nile are the Bujagali Falls where white water rafting activity takes place. There are numerous boat cruises along the Nile for the purposes of tourism. For instance, a boat cruise along the river at Murchison falls gives a visitor the opportunity to see a variety of game, giant crocodiles are often seen on the shores of the river, basking in the sun.
Uganda safaris have also led to the introduction of spot fishing as an activity that is participated in by the tourists. It’s mostly done in Murchison falls national park.

Mountain Gorilla Behavior,Diet,Threats and Predators
